RELUCTANT PRESS
"I think I'd like to tour the school," said Helen with a smile. "If Shelley can get a scholarship, it might be worthwhile."
"Excellent," replied Dr., Trate. "I'll make the arrangements and meet you there at 10 in the morning."
Just then, Gina knocked on the door. "Barry Bangs is here," she informed Dr. Trate.
"Excellent, send him in," Dr. Trate replied. "This should be fun." With that, she stepped out the door to greet the hairdresser in the hall.
The door was open as Barry bustled into the room with his normal swishy effervescence. "Cassandra, I've been on pins and needles waiting to see your latest candidate. You were so smug and mysterious on the phone. I've racked my brain all day trying to think which of my clients you've sunken your claws into!"
"I never sink my claws into anyone," Helen responded, "although I've thought about doing so with you."
Barry recoiled. "Never! I might be gay, but I know I like being just the way I am!"
Dr. Trate laughed. "Relax, I won't touch you unless you ask. Besides, you've given my client and her family a most entertaining display of your gay ways! Now, come inside and meet them."
Fred and Helen could see the exchange through the open door. The animated man was the stereotypical swishy homosexual. All the gay jokes in the world must have been made up with him in mind. Cindy and Shelley had a difficult time suppressing their giggles as they watched. His actions and mannerisms were the same as they had encountered in the Alternative Images Beauty Salon during their Saturday morning make-over.
Barry followed Dr. Trate inside as she stepped before the children shielding them from his sight. Barry looked at Fred and Helen without recognition. Then, the doctor stepped aside revealing Cindy standing beside the examination table where Sheldon sat.

TWO LITTLE GIRLS
By JENNIFER SUE
"You... you," Barry squealed with wide-eyed delight as he placed both hands over his mouth and giggled. "I never would have suspected! What a precious little girl you are! Oh Shelley, I'm so glad I could help you on your way to girlhood!" With that, he stepped forward and hugged Shelley.
After explaining all that had occurred, Barry smiled. "I know you're doing the right thing. I'm NEVER wrong about things like this! One thing about being gay is that you learn to trust your inner feelings. I never suspected that Shelley was other than the delightful little girl she appeared to be! She is a natural GIRL! Go for it, sweety!"
That night the entire family went to sleep exhausted. Shelley had received a low dosage of estrogen to start her on the road to total femininity.
By Saturday morning, the family was sure that Shelley would remain a permanent part of their lives. At 10 a.m. they met Dr. Trate outside the gates of The Misty Meener Academy for a guided tour.
The campus was located on six hundred and forty mostly forested acres just outside the city. A three-foot thick and twenty-foot high stone wall surrounded the school grounds. The wall was crowned with an eight-foot chain link fence topped with electrified barbed wire. Inside the stone wall was a thirtyfoot wide security lane fenced in by a twelve-foot chain link fence. Nasty Doberman guard dogs freely roamed the security lane. The only way in or out was through an ornate steel double gate. Security personnel were on duty at the gate around the clock to check that all who entered or left the campus were did so with the knowledge and permission of the administration. This combination provided maximum security to keep the public out and the students in.
The buildings of the campus were shielded from view of the gate by the trees. After traveling up the long driveway through a tunnel of trees, one burst forth into immaculately manicured lawns and formal gardens. The main building was four stories tall with a steeply pitched roof and dormers. The massive building was at least fifteen hundred feet long and a hundred twenty feet deep. Magnificent white four-
